WASILLA — The Bartlett Golden Bears used four unearned runs to score a 5-1 win over the Wasilla Warriors at the Bumpus Ballfields Wednesday in Wasilla.
The Bears held a slim 2-1 lead in the fifth before doing much of their damage late in the game.
The Warriors, who dropped to 0-5 with the loss, play four times in Fairbanks this weekend.
Knights win four in Fairbanks
FAIRBANKS — The Colony Knights won their first four games of the season during a four-game trip to Fairbanks last weekend.
Colony opened the 2008 season with a 5-3 Railbelt Conference win over Lathrop on May 9, and scored an 18-10 nonconference victory over Eielson later in the evening.
The following day, Colony beat West Valley 4-2 in an eight-inning game, and handed North Pole a 7-3 loss.
West slips by Wasilla
ANCHORAGE — The West Anchorage Eagles scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to score a 7-6 come-from-behind win over the Wasilla Warriors last week at Albrecht Fields in Anchorage.
Wasilla took the early lead with five runs in the first three innings.
