Come home and reconnect

Has anyone else noticed that our Governor Palin has undergone a metamorphosis in her few weeks in the national spotlight?

Our champion of ethics and transparent government has become McCain’s pugnacious talking doll. In the past month she has repeated lies (“thanks but no thanks on that bridge to nowhere”), engaged in character assassination of her opponent (“Obama pals around with terrorists”) and thwarted open government on several fronts (refusing to cooperate with the Troopergate investigation and concealing e-mail correspondence).

Isn’t this exactly the behavior we voted AGAINST when we elected her?

Here is my message to Governor Palin: Come home to Alaska! Start building that pipeline you have been taking credit for. And, above all, re-embrace the small-town American values we all treasure: honesty, decency and openness.
