Concerned about alleged human rights violations

By To the editor:

Greetings and salutations.

I seen in the news that you will soon be selecting a chancellor for UAA. I would like to make note on past governor Sean Parnell that there was 9 human right violation cases at the state run Anchorage International Airport that I know of when he was Lt.Gov and Governor. We reached out to him year after year starting on day 1 when he became Lt.Gov to when he left office as governor. We sent in 800 detailed pages on sexual harassment and other human right violations like our Foreman using the “N” word against the minority co-workers. We told him when our other Foreman used a cracker gun used to shoot at birds to scare them away from the airport and shot it at a black man to have a little fun. Had the shot that almost hit the black co-worker hit him, it would have knocked out his hearing and more damage that could have been done. We asked for help so that minorities at the airport could have equal opportunities for education on, of the job and job training so that they could have a shot at job promotions. The supervisors gave these opportunities to the good old boy network. We explained that the state management ordered the Korean ladies to stop speaking Korean during their lunch and stop eating Korean food. The work place was a very hostile work place for the minorities who worked at the airport for years and years.

I went to these walks, marches Gov. Parnell had in Palmer, governor picnics, governor’s office and gave him more paper work on these human right violations we had at the state run airport. I asked him saying, I have been giving you paper work on these violations for 7 years now. How many more years do you need before you respond on the need to correct these human right violations? He said I will get back with you on the number of years I need to get back with you. He was voted out of office, so we never got an answer on the number of more years he would need to be able to respond. In addition he never responded to our request for help in stopping these human right violations.

In full disclosure after 8 years of writing hundreds and hundreds of letters.
