PALMER — The Southcentral Conference postseason tournament is back and action is slated to start Thursday at Hermon Brothers Field in Palmer.
Colony, Palmer, Wasilla, Houston, Kodiak, Homer, Soldotna and Kenai will compete during the three-day single-elimination event. The teams that advance to the championship game earn the conference’s two automatic berths to the state tournament.
Quarterfinal games are slated for 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., Thursday at Hermon Brothers. Semifinals are scheduled for Friday at 4 and 7 p.m. The title game is set for Saturday at 1 p.m. Brackets will be released Wednesday by Colony High School. Regular season ends today
The Southcentral regular season concludes today with a pair of games. Houston and Colony face off tonight at 7 p.m. at Hermon Brothers Field. Colony and Palmer will meet today at 7 p.m. at Wasilla Senior Field.
There were also two games on Monday (Colony at Houston, and Wasilla at Palmer), but the games were not concluded before the Frontiersman press time.
