PALMER — The Kenai Central Kardinals posted a 45-37 win over the Skyview Panthers at Palmer High School on Friday, in the consolation quarterfinals of the Northern Lights Conference tournament.
Brittney Meyer led the Panthers with a game-high 22 points in the loss, getting most of her scores by driving the lane. Kyla Steward posted a team-high 14 for Kenai.
Ivy O'Guinn's bucket in the final seconds of first half tied the score for Skyview, and the teams went into the intermission tied at 14-14.
Kenai led 9-4 after the first quarter after opening the game on a 6-0 run.
With the win, Kenai moves on to face either Colony or Soldotna in the consolation semifinals Saturday at 9 a.m. CHS and SoHi play at 3 p.m. today with the winner heading to the conference final and the loser moving back to face the Kards.
Skyview was eliminated from the tourney with the loss.
