Coree Crossman Pruitt, 34, died Feb. 10, 2006, in Camarillo, Calif.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Palmer at the Lazy Mountain Bible Church, Mile 2.5 Clark-Wolverine Road.
Mrs. Pruitt lived in Camarillo, Calif., for eight years.
Her family wrote, “She loved the warm weather and taking her children to the beach. She was a great mom who lived for making sure her kids laughed a lot. She loved her stepson, Zachery, and Sterling was the one who made her laugh. Presley was her little angel and her princess. Her world was built around the children.
“She was a unique person with a big smile and big brown eyes. She loved teasing her “aunties” because they were so short and she was tall like her mother.
“She will be missed by her family and friends, who have peace in looking forward to seeing Coree again.”
Mrs. Pruitt leaves behind her husband, Kevin Pruitt; stepson, Zachery Pruitt; son, Sterling Crossman and daughter, Presley Pruitt. Her father, Lee Crossman, resides in Mexico. She leaves many relatives in Alaska - uncles, Herd Belanger, Dan Corey, Jack Corey and Frank Corey and aunts, Edith Corey Baller, Dorothy Windmiller and Kathey Anderson, all from Mat-Su, as well as cousins too numerous to mention. Mrs. Pruitt's mother, Mae Corey Crossman; sister, Leta Crossman, and grandparents, Jack and Olga Corey, preceded her in death.
