Cougars get big win over Knights

ANCHORAGE — Colony High struck early, but the Service Cougars struck often.

Senior Antinio Bush caught the first of his two touchdown grabs in the first quarter to give Colony the early lead, but Service followed with 40 straight points and posted a 52-21 nonconference win over the Knights Friday at Anchorage Football Stadium.

Bryce Niver threw for 174 yards and three touchdowns in the loss. Bush finished with four catches for 42 yards and two scores. Daniel Bilafer added a team-high five catches for 96 yards and a touchdown.

Niver also led the Knights with 60 yards rushing.

CJ Toomer tossed four touchdown passes for Service, last year’s large-schools state runner-up.

Colony travels south to face defending medium-schools state champion Soldotna Friday.
