Court costs might give him a heart attack

WASILLA — Alaska State Troopers were called to help a man having a heart attack.

It urns out the man had health issues, but heart attack wasn’t one of them. He was arrested for driving drunk.

According to a trooper press statement, at about 5:15 p.m. Monday, troopers were sent to Mile 50 Parks Highway for the report of a man having a heart attack in his 2003 Chevrolet pickup. On scene, they found Randy Hinshaw, 58, of Wasilla, inside his pickup, unable to open the door.

Troopers say Hinshaw was taken to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.

“Further investigation at the hospital determined Hinshaw was not suffering from a medical condition but instead had operated his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol,” troopers wrote.

They jailed him at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility on $500 bail. Jail records show he’s since been released.
