Cover the rallies for other candidates

Friday, Oct. 10, a large number of supporters and candidates assembled along the Parks Highway by Wasilla Lake.

As your article stated, politicians, family members, well-wishers, and even a few out-of-towners braved the vagaries of October weather in Alaska in support of — other candidates, specifically Mark Begich, Ethan Berkowitz, David Cheezem, Erick Cordero, but also Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

Where was the Frontiersman? This was the third such gathering, I believe, and it was not the last.

McCain-Palin is not the only show in town. Not everyone in the Mat-Su supports them. The Frontiersman is, theoretically at least, the newspaper for all of us. Actually for all the candidates, not just the major party candidates.

And I wonder why you are so eager to curry her favor when she couldn’t even name the Frontiersman as a newspaper she reads. To have mentioned it would certainly have enhanced her small-town girl image.
