To the editor:
When I first saw your ridiculous editorial on Matanuska Creamery, I thought I’d write and protest an Outside newspaper company singling out a new local food company for a blackballing trash attack.
And say if refinancing a current loan for a savings of 2 percentage points in interest makes a case for failure, there’re a lot of failures out there.
And I was going to suggest your next “exposé” should list every Ag Revolving Loan Fund borrower whoever took out more than one operating loan, along with anyone anywhere whoever paid down a line of credit and then borrowed against it again. Then, how about a list of every business which has used Small Business Administration loans, Rural Development loan guarantees, state fishing vessel loans, mining loans, oil/gas enticement packages, Veterans Administration loans and so on, and then student loans. By your logic, every one is a failure.
I was going to say those things and then I noticed our sales are showing an upward tick.
So, now, I’m just saying thanks for putting us on the front page.
