PALMER — Mat-Su Crime Stoppers is seeking information leading to the arrest of a woman who tried to use multiple stolen credit cards at Sears and Wal-Mart.
According to a press release, the transactions were logged at around 6:50 p.m. at Sears and 8:15 p.m. at Wal-Mart on Jan. 12.
Crime Stoppers has a relatively specific description of the woman and has released a photo that appears to have been taken from an ATM machine. The suspect is described as being 5-feet, 6-inches to 5-feet, 9-inches tall, weighing 160 to 180 pounds and in her late 20s or early 30s.
Palmer police are also asking for potential victims to call them. Anyone who had fraudulent charges on their cards in the Wasilla and Palmer area at around the time of those Sears and Wal-Mart incidents is asked to call the department at 745-4811.
People with information about the suspect are asked to call Mat-Su Crime Stoppers at 745-3333 or submit their tips online at matsu-crimestoppers.org. The organization offers up to $1,000 in reward money if the information leads to an arrest or indictment.
