Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Big Lake resident Danielle K. Carr, 43, died at her home on June 30, 2004.
Her family and friends have scheduled a celebration of her life for 4 p.m. today at Fish Creek Park in Big Lake.
Ms. Carr was born in King County, Wash., on May 16, 1961, and moved to Alaska in 1995 where she has lived in Soldotna, Eagle River, Wasilla and Big Lake. She has been a self-contracted truck driver since 1987.
Her family said, "Danielle was a wonderful woman who loved her work and her family."
Survivors include her mother, Nadine Lematta, of San Diego, Calif.; daughter, Lorna Husar, of Wasilla; son, Rick Husar, of Great Falls, Mont.; grandson, Gavin, of Wasilla; granddaughter, Natalie, of Wasilla; and her companion, John "Boris" Fruzen, of Big Lake.
Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
