Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Danny G. Jewell II, 28, died Oct. 26, 2004, at his home in Wasilla.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 1, at Kehl's Palmer Mortuary, with a service to follow at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Palmer Pioneer Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Jewell, Mark Jewell, Jeff Jewell, Dave Peterson, Craig Ingraham and Dan Jewell.
Mr. Jewell was born March 12, 1974, in Portland, Ore.
He has been an Alaska resident since 1976 and lived in Wasilla for the last five years.
Mr. Jewell worked in the construction business. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with his family.
"Danny was a very outgoing person, he enjoyed being in the outdoors. He loved being with his children and family. He was always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. Our beloved son, brother and father, you will always and forever be in our memories and close to our hearts. You will be greatly missed and so cherished by family and friends and someday we will be together again. You will never be forgotten, we love you."
Mr. Jewell is survived by his father and mother, Dan and Mildred Jewell; brothers, Chris, Mark, and Jeff Jewell; sisters, Melissa Hutchens and Brandy Romer; the mother of his children, Cassie Ingraham; sons, Jared, Michael, Johnathan and Nicholas Jewell; aunt and uncle, Bob and Elma Wright and nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were with Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.
