• Two Boy Scouts, Tyler and Logan Seims, have been selected to attend the 100th National Jamboree in Washington, D.C. next summer. To raise funds for their trip they are putting up The Dungeon of Doom Spook Alley at Pioneer Plaza on the Parks Highway across from Hyer Road. It’s tonight from 7 to 11 p.m. Admission is $10. • Haunted house provided by the West Lakes Fire Department and the Ladies Auxiliary. It will be tonight and Saturday from 6 to 11 p.m. at Meadow Lakes Fire Department, Mile 2 of Pittman Road, just before Meadow Lakes Elementary. There will be trick or treating, popcorn and a family oriented haunted house. Donations accepted.
• Halloween Hollow at Raven Hall at the state fairgrounds. It’s Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. Admission for children is one unwrapped toy or $5 and adults, $1. There will be 35 games to play and a safe and warm place as well as a concession stand. No pets allowed.
• Red Ribbon Halloween Night is Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. This event is held at the Speer family home in conjunction with the Civil Air Patrol. The home is at 3175 E Serendipity Loop in Wasilla. The event is to heighten awareness about drug and alcohol abuse. CAP cadets will pass out 200 drug demand reduction ribbons with candy. Volunteers are needed. Call 1Lt. Speer at 357-3044.
• Autumn Harvest Open House is Saturday at the Palmer Fire Station from 6 to 8 p.m. It is hosted by the Palmer Fire Association. There will be games, treats, pumpkin juice and Sparky the Fire Dog will be on hand for photographs.
