Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

David Brent Robson, 62, formerly of Idaho, died April 24, 2004, at his home in Sheep Mountain. He died of natural causes.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Sheep Mountain.
David was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, January 12, 1942, to Tom Robson and Glenny Gray Robson. Upon graduating from Idaho Falls High School, he worked at a variety of jobs until moving to Alaska in 1973. He attended Idaho State University and Charter College in Anchorage.
He married Terry Bastian on May 24, 1974. They lived in Anchorage from 1974 to 1975, Idaho from 1975 to 1976, Valdez from 1976 to 1989, Kodiak from 1989 to 1990, Anchorage from 1990 to 1991, Homer 1998 to 2000, and Sheep Mountain from 2000 to the present.
David was a member of Teamsters Local 959, and worked on the Alyeska Pipeline, the Valdez Oil Spill and at the Valdez Terminal. He retired from the Teamsters in 1991, and then owned his own computer business.
His family wrote, "David loved fishing, story telling, a good joke, family, friends, Saint Bernards, all animals, and living at Sheep Mountain, Alaska."
He is survived by Terry Robson and their three children: Brian Robson of Phoenix, Ariz., Amy Robson of Pocatello, Idaho and Kim Robson of Anchorage; a brother William Robson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; a sister Jeanie McCoy of Idaho Falls; and grandchildren Asia and Xander.
