DAVID F. BARTHOLOMEW

Wasilla resident David Francis Bartholomew, 74, died of an aneurysm at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage April 15, 2004. A celebration of his life was held April 22 at 12:30 p.m. at Wasilla Senior Center.

Mr. Bartholomew was born Sept. 7, 1929, in Bethlehem, Penn. He attended one year of college.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1947 to 1953. He had lived in Anchorage and Bethel before moving to Wasilla.

Mr. Bartholomew was employed with the Federal Aviation Agency from 1959 to 1984, when he retired.

He was a member of the Worldwide Church of God. Mr. Bartholomew enjoyed puzzles and reading.

His family wrote, "He and his wife EveAnn Bartholomew enjoyed 55 years of marriage. They had five children, 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandkids."

Mr. Bartholomew was preceded in death by his son, David Bartholomew II.

He is survived by his children, Bruce Bartholomew, Debra Bartholomew, Donna Bartholomew and Michael Bartholomew, 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
