Dawn Lynn Edwards

Kenny Lake resident Dawn Lynn Edwards, 45, died Dec. 28, 2005, at her home from a long-term illness.

Ms. Edwards was born April 27, 1960, in San Diego. She had a bachelor of arts degree in psychology.

She moved to Alaska in the early 1970s. Ms. Edwards lived in Kenny Lake for the first seven to 10 years and then lived in Anchorage for 10 years before moving back to Kenny Lake 10 years ago.

Ms. Edwards, also known as Aurora Dawn, was a practicing third-degree high priestess of the Wiccan religion for more than 20 years. She loved to read, ride her horse and practice herbology.

Her family wrote, &#8220High above the clouds, Aurora Dawn rides her precious horse, Clark, surrounded by her entourage of butterflies and fairies. Many people pass through our lives, but few stay in our hearts!”

She is survived by her husband, Ron Edwards; son, Samuel Ankrum-Edwards; son, Ben Ankrum-Edwards; father, Stanford Freeman; mother, Marcia Freeman, and her &#8220sisters”, Shell and Patti; various family members; sisters and brother; Don and Debie Bloom and her nieces and nephews, Sarah, Jesse, Jeremy and Dozer.

Arrangements are with Kehl's Palmer Mortuary in Palmer.
