Day 2 –
This is a little behind the times, day two was actually yesterday. However, I still have stuff I wanted to say, so here it goes …
Wow, the day was a whirlwind of meetings and things going on at work. I ate healthy foods all day long and before I knew it, it was time to head home for the day. I briefly thought about stopping at the gym, but decided against it because I really wanted to get home to be with the kids and my hubby. Also, I have decided that a trip to the gym is going to become part of my morning ritual.
They had been together all day long and I was looking forward to quality time with all of them.
My husband and I cooked dinner together, while I fed the girls and we got ready to watch our Tuesday ritual show, The Biggest Loser. It was amazing to me that we were actually done with our dinner before the show started. In seasons past, we would actually not even start to have our meal until the show was underway – and to top it all off, our meals would usually be some of the worst possible things a person could be eating while watching such a show. The irony was amazing, watching a health related show and we would be enjoying cheeseburgers, fried foods, brownies, ice cream etc…
That is all a thing of the past!
I really feel like I was even more inspired by the information that was presented, and the contestant’s experiences.
Motivation is a big thing that a person needs when they are trying to make major life changes such as these. I am so thankful that I do not have to give up my time with my children, as the contestants who live on the ranch do. My children are definitely my main motivation – being able to see them grow and become their own unique selves is priceless and something that I want to be here for as long as possible.
Do yourself a huge favor, and decide what your main motivation is – this works well to remind yourself of when you do feel the urge to quit, as you may well experience in the beginning stages of this major life change.
For now I'll keep on truckin’ – More to come later!!
Hope you all are doing well,
Amber
