WASILLA — A dead body was found in a ditch off Vine Road Monday morning.
Alaska State Troopers responded to the report of a pedestrian in the ditch along the northbound lane of Vine Road near West Appalachian Drive at 9:25 a.m., AST Public Information Officer Supervisor Tim DeSpain said. In an email, DeSpain said troopers found a deceased individual that appears to have been struck by a vehicle.
No additional information about the victim was available as of 2:15 p.m. Monday.
