Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Wasilla resident, Mrs. Deborah Dawn White, 50, died of cancer at home with her family surrounding her Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002.
A memorial service will be held at the Family Christian Center, 203 W. Dogwood in Palmer, Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 3 p.m. Pastor Peter Gallardo will officiate.
Mrs. White was born June 23, 1952, in Florence, Ariz. She graduated from Sunnyside High School in Tucson in 1970.
She moved to Alaska in 1975, residing in Wasilla. She was a homemaker, a wife and a mother.
She attended Family Christian Center in Palmer. She was an avid reader, gardener, a strong Christian and devoted to her family.
As well as being a "beautiful wife and mother," Deborah's family remembers, "She was the heart of our family, loving and giving beyond measure, beautiful inside and out. The Lord blessed us with her, a perfect example of the Proverbs 31:10-31 woman. She will be deeply missed by us all until we see her again in Heaven. Though we be separated for a time, our love for her will continue and strengthen us until that Glorious Day."
Mrs. White is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, John White; her daughter Kristina Cassidy and her husband Brent; her son Logan and his wife Moneque White; and her granddaughter Alexia White.
Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home.
