DELORA L. KARELLA

Funeral services for Delora L. Karella, 93, of Norfolk, Neb., will be at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 4 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk. Rev. Tim Lange will be the Celebrant, and Rev. Francis Kubart, Rev. Rank Parrinello, and Rev. Jim Keiter will Con-Celebrate. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-6 p.m. at Home for Funerals and a Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Mrs. Karella died Jan. 30, 2004, at Stanton Health Center.

She was born on Oct. 29, 1910, in Madison, Neb., the daughter of James and Margaret (Kilgore) Holt. She married Ambrose Jerome Karella on Nov. 2, 1926, in Sioux City, Iowa.

She was employed by Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Norfolk for 15 years. In 1956, she and her husband moved to Fairbanks where she was employed by the Fairbanks Memorial Hospital for 24 years. She retired in 1980 and moved back to Norfolk in 1982.

She was a member of Sacred Heart-Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Norfolk and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

She is survived by one son and his wife, Jerome (Pete) and Betty of Spring Hill, Fla.; four daughters and their husbands, Florence and LeRoy Larson of Norfolk, Marcella and Alvin Frauendorfer, Mildred and Fredrick Ridder, all of Madison, and Sharon and Donald (Bill) Frost of Houston, Alaska; one sister Marcella Long of Madison; three daughters-in-law, Margie Karella of Norfolk, Rosemary Karella of Fairbanks, and Rhodi (Karella) Davidson of Willow, Alaska; 48 grandchildren, 130 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three sons, one son-in-law, one sister, two brothers, one grandson, one granddaughter, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
