Democrats to caucus Saturday

Mat-Su Democrats in districts 13, 14, 15 and 16 will have the chance April 14 to voice their support for the re-election of President Barack Obama.

A front-page story in Tuesday’s Frontiersman incorrectly stated the day on which most Valley Democrats are caucusing.

Mat-Su Democrats will meet at 9 a.m., Saturday at the old Mat-Su Cinema in Wasilla.

District 15 also will caucus Saturday in Talkeetna at the Twister Creek Restaurant.

Only Democrats may vote. Those who wish to register as a Democrat may do so the morning of the caucus.

The meeting begins at 9 a.m., with registration and a continental breakfast.

The group will fan out and cast votes beginning at 9:45 a.m.

Local party business, including the election of delegates to the state convention, will follow.

Lunch will be available, and the meeting is set to end by 3 p.m.
