Denali Harley Davidson hosting annual Helicopter Santa Toy Drive event

WASILLA— Old Saint Nick is coming back to Denali Harley Davidson for the annual Helicopter Santa Toy Drive event Dec. 18 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Participants who pre-register for helicopter rides will be able to take to the skies with Santa Claus for a festive winter flight to fill their children with wonder and safely land back at the Denali Harley Davidson parking lot.

In addition to the helicopter rides, Santa Claus will also be checking his list twice and taking pictures with visiting children and their families. There will be a hot cocoa bar. This event coincides with the dealership’s “12 Days of Christmas Deals.”

The Denali Harley team hosts this community event with local partners and motorcycle clubs to help locals spread the Christmas spirit by having a good time for a good cause.

This fundraising event is designed to collect toys to help Valley children have a merry Christmas. Denali Harley coordinates with the Biker Elves, a local group of motorcycle riders who collect toys each year for the Mat-Su Special Santa program.

Helicopter rides are intended for children and registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Those who wish to register their children are required to donate a new, unwrapped toy (worth $10 or more) in person at the dealership prior to the event. Other attendees are also encouraged to donate during the event.

This is one of several community-oriented events Denali Harley engages in throughout the year.

“It’s nice to have people come in and see the motorcycle community be a part of the community,” Denali Harley store manager Fred Becker told the Frontiersman.
