Denali's bounty

Fall colors abound during a trip to Curry Ridge in Denali State Park Wednesday afternoon. Curry Ridge is a hiker’s paradise, with sweeping vistas of the Alaska Range and panoramic shots of Denali State Park. On Wednesday, the Alaska State Parks, in conjunction with the National Park Service, toured the area by helicopter. A proposed South Denali Visitor Center is planned for the Curry Ridge area, with partial funding for the project already secured. The visitor center would be situated atop the ridgeline, with recreational opportunities such as hiking and biking taking place at trailheads throughout the access road.
