DENISE DOREEN "BIANCA" ECKHARDT CAULKINS

Denise Doreen "Bianca" Eckhardt Caulkins died peacefully April 27, 2003, at her home in Palmer. A memorial service was held Saturday, May 3, at 2 p.m. at Kehl's Palmer Mortuary, 209 S. Alaska St., with Pastor Dan Grisham officiating.

Mrs. Caulkins was born April 25, 1967, in Delray Beach, Fla. She came to Alaska in 1993 and worked as a commercial fisherman as well as a full-time mom.

Her family wrote, "She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend, a treasure to everyone who met her. She no doubt had a great impact on all whose paths she crossed. She will be greatly missed and always loved; we know that as she rests in peace, the angels will guide her home."

She is survived by her husband Don Caulkins; eight children, Windy, Donny, Coral, Zabrina, Kenai, Jazmyn, Billy and Nicole; brothers Arnold Eckhardt of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Micah Eckhardt of Oceanside, Calif., and Liberty Knight of Anchorage; sisters Sharee Eckhardt of Oceanside, Calif., and Portland Jostrum of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and sister-in-law Vicky Shatz of Palmer.

Arrangements were handled by Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.
