WASILLA — A Wasilla cannabis cultivator Scorpion Grass was engulfed in flames late Wednesday evening.
Central Mat-Su Fire Department responded to the call, finding very high levels of heat and received help from other local departments, including Houston, Palmer, Willow and Butte, according to Central Mat-Su Fire Department Chief Michael Keenan.
“It was a difficult fire,” Keenan said.
Numerous first responders circled the building, working to extinguish the fire. Around 11 p.m., Keenan was surveying the damage with crews.
“We’ll probably be here all night,” Keenan said.
