Dickson twins 1-2 again

HOUSTON -- For the Dickson twins, life as of late has been pretty routine. Enter a high school cross country race and finish in the top two positions.

Aaron and Drew Dickson finished first and second for Palmer in the Mat-Su Borough Cross Country Meet in Houston Tuesday. It was the fourth time this season that the Dickson duo claimed the top two spots in a race this season.

Just days ago, the Dicksons finished 1-2 in the Palmer Invitational.

Aaron crossed the finish line at the 11:29 mark and Drew followed close behind at 11:35. Fellow Moose Rory Egelus had his best finish of the year placing third at 11:49.

Palmer had five of the top seven finishers in the meet and cruised to the victory in the men's team standings. Palmer's first place score of 19 was well ahead of second place Colony who accumulated 39 points.

Peter Doner was the first Knight to cross the finish line, taking fourth place in the event.

The girls event was much closer. Colony and Susitna Valley finished in a first place tie with 42 points. Dominique Colberg placed first in the women's event for the Knights.

Tazlina Mannix had the highest finish of an 1A-2A-3A runner in the meet, placing second in the women's event.
