PALMER — An apparent case of rubbernecking led to a crash over the weekend on the Palmer end of the Palmer-Wasilla Highway.
At around 9:30 p.m., Friday near the highway’s intersection with Basin Street, Judith McCormick, 68, of Palmer, “drifted into the left lane while looking at troopers on a traffic stop near by,” according to an Alaska State Trooper press statement.
McCormick’s 2003 Dodge Neon hit a 2010 Ford F-150 driven by Justin Greist, 27, of Palmer.
No one was hurt. Everyone was wearing seatbelts. McCormick was cited for not staying in her lane.
