WASILLA — With a late goal and a big night between the pipes, Division II Palmer spoiled Wasilla’s senior night with a 4-3 win over the Warriors Friday night at the Brett Memorial Ice Arena.
Carter Greco bagged the game-winner with 1:01 left in regulation.
It was part of Palmer’s three-goal third period. Owen Hayes and Sophia Johnson scored on the power play early in the third. Matthew Johnson had a power play goal in the second period.
Palmer’s TJ O’Rourke finished with 41 saves, including 21 in the first period. Wasilla outshot Palmer 44-26 in the game, and 21-2 during the first 15 minutes of the game.
Troy Randall, Zach Roush and Garrison Holler scored for Wasilla. The Warriors led 1-0 after the first and 2-1 after the second period. Zach Nelius finished with three assists for the Moose.
Wasilla storms past Lathrop Wasilla stormed to an 8-1 win over Lathrop Thursday at the Brett.
Eight different Warriors scored in the win. Zach Roush led Wasilla two goals and an assist. Wasilla outshot Lathrop 56-16.
Hawks split in the Interior
Houston scored a 5-0 win over Delta Friday in Delta Junction.
Isaiah Squires led Houston with a pair of goals.
North Pole edged Houston 2-0 on Thursday.
