Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue extends a huge thanks to the Wasilla Pet Zoo for offering its store as a place to conduct our first Dog Food Drive on Dec. 18. This was a successful event that helped us to collect dog food, treats, toys and monetary donations for the dogs and puppies of Alaska. We also wish to thank the many kind hearted individuals who donated to this worthy cause, particularly during this time of year, when one is often inundated with requests for a helping hand. These donations will help the many families who love their dogs, but may be experiencing a crisis and are unable to adequately provide for their pets. Hopefully, this will become a yearly event that continues to be supported by our community.
Donations are always happily accepted at our facility at the Trinity Barn, off the Palmer Wasilla Hwy. We are open on Saturdays, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feel free to stop in and visit with our dedicated volunteers, pet a dog, or kiss a puppy. We “woof” you a happy holiday and a “bow”ntiful New Year.
