After stalling at a 13 pound weight loss I knew I had to do something more. The ice made walking with the dogs impossible. They needed the outing as well, so I took them for a romp at some open ground along the Parks frontage road. I felt like a schlub walking into Carr’s in my mud splashed, dog hairy sweat cloths but how else to I manage multiple errands including 2 mile walk at the Wasilla Sports Center. I had my excuses for my attire ready but didn’t need them. Everyone looked like me.
It’s not very exciting walking in a circle but I did the math for entertainment. 6.4 laps is a mile, that I’m walking in about 15 minutes. I passed under the clock exactly as it changed to 2:10, then 2:20 and so on. I watched the little guys struggle to get the puck from one end of the ice to the other and drifted into a hockey mom flashback. That daydream held me for more than 10 minutes. At the end of 35 minutes, I felt like I could do more. 35 minutes killed me on Wednesday and Thursday so I feel pretty energized to push on.
