Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Donald Glenndon Patterson, 59, died Aug. 3, 2002, at Valley Hospital in Palmer.
Mr. Patterson was born July 28, 1943, in Seaside, Ore.
He is survived by his mother, Arliene Klaunau, of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; sisters, Sherry Crane of Vermont and Shiela Boone of California; brother Thomas Patterson of Crescent City, Calif.; daughter Samantha Ann Patterson of Boise, Idaho; step-children Kara, Julie, Justin and Brett, all of Anchorage; and grandchildren Logan Scott of Boise, Idaho, and Aurora, Sebastian, Lauren, Ellie, Molly, Jacque and Kaleb, all of Anchorage.
Mr. Patterson was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Glenndon Patterson.
Cremation services have been planned in Oregon.
Memorial services will be held locally at Wasilla AMVETS, located on Wasilla-Fishhook Road, at 7:30 p.m., Aug. 29.
