It sounds like some people who run the city of Palmer want to put the hammer on the bars to go smoke-free. I say if you don’t like the smoke, stay out of the bars. These bars in Palmer have been here longer than some of the people who live here.
People go to work, then after work stop to rest and enjoy the evening and smoke a little. Where do the people who run the city get the right to tell the bars to go smokeless? They don’t own the bars downtown, the city gets revenue from the sales.
The people who run the city should just leave the bars alone. They aren’t breaking any laws.
Find something better to do than picking on people who smoke. I don’t smoke myself, but if the bars want people to smoke in their place, it is up to the bar owner.
