Don’t speak for me

To the editor:

This is regarding the Compton’s Corner column (Frontiersman, Aug. 9) titled “Why is white America so angry lately?”

Well, gee, I’m a white American, but not so angry and I would appreciate Mr. Compton not assuming that he is speaking for me, thank you very much!

Looks like he is channeling Rush Limbaugh in his opinion piece, just like Leonard Pitts is channeling Jesse Jackson in opinions published in the Anchorage Daily News. Ben, you will feel so much better if you do like me and stop listening to Rush and Beck.

I can attest that worked for me, and I feel so much better now.

I consider Rush Limbaugh, Jesse Jackson, Glenn Beck, Al Sharpton, Ben Compton and Leonard Pitts all of the same type — dividers who profit from creating division. I say dump ‘em (including our Mr. Compton) all in a remote location and leave fixing America to us grownups.

Time to stop feeding the fire.
