DORIS DEE HARTMAN LEONARD

Doris Dee (Dee Dee) Hartman Leonard, 54, died Aug. 28, 2004, in Palmer.

A graveside service was scheduled to be held at the Palmer Pioneer Cemetery on Thursday, Sept. 2, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Dennis Lords officiating.

Mrs. Leonard was born Feb. 16, 1950, in Park Falls, Wis., to Albert Roy Hartman and Doris Emeline Collins.

She moved to Idaho at the age of 13 with her family, where she met and married her husband, Randall Leonard, on March 23, 1968, in St. Anthony, Idaho. She and her family moved to Alaska permanently in 1985, residing in Glennallen and then moving to Palmer in 1988.

Her family said, "She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her family. She enjoyed reading romance books, watching the wildlife in Alaska and spending time with her large family."

Mrs. Leonard is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Randall Leonard of Palmer; son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Maranda Leonard; daughter and son-in-law, Dee Dee and Matthew Brady of Wasilla; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Dawn; son and fiance/, Randall and Christi Bosman; son and girlfriend, Tyrone and Malisa Miller; daughter, Theresa, of Palmer; grandchildren, Jacob, Maranda, Stashia, Scott, Nicole, Melissa, Layla, Brianna and Emily; sisters and brother-in-law, Rita and Rod Doucette of Florida, Betty Farmer of New Mexico and Lucinda and Dennis Lords of Willow; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jess Hartman, Arnold and Renee Hartman and Richard and Debbie Hartman, all of Palmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert, in 2004 and Doris, in 1976; brother, Gary, in 1993; sister, Shirley, in 1994 and brother, Ronald, in 2004.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all memorials be mailed to the family at PMB #203, 1150 South Colony Way, Suite 3, Palmer, AK 99645.
