DOROTHY K. LEWIS

Dorothy K. Lewis, 57, of Orange Park, Fla., passed away after complications with bypass surgery on Thursday, March 22, 2001, at Shands North Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.

Memorial services were scheduled for Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at Williams Funeral Home in Pearl River, La. Burial followed at Bethlehem Cemetery.

Her loved ones wrote: "Dorothy was loved by all who knew her. Her kind and generous nature was extended to everyone, unconditionally. She was a loyal Wal-Mart employee for 15-plus years of her life. She enjoyed her children, her grandchildren and recently became involved with Narc-anon. Dorothy and her family had lived in Alaska for a short time in the 1970s and then again from 1983-1988 in the Mat-Su Valley."

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ida Jones of Louisiana. She is survived by her husband, Chuck Lewis of Orange Park; five adult children, Karla Nava, Shana Austin, Donna O'Neill, Shane O'Neill and Misty Lewis; 12 cherished grandchildren, Marie, Larissa, Zachary, Lakoda, Shawna, Stephanie, Stacey, Brittany, Brieanna, Kayla, Keely and Austin; sisters, Joyce Calendar and Karla Chvastasz; brothers, James and Charles Jones of Louisiana; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
