The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) has provided an update to the Bogard Road at Engstrom Road/Green Forest Drive road project.
The design is at 95% completion, with final review planned in the winter/early spring. The DOT&PF continues to coordinate with various utilizes within the project corridor to reduce and lessen any impacts, as well as work to address any ongoing concerns. DOT&PF understands that work to move utilities takes time and due to the complex nature of the road project, is working with each utility to coordinate any future work.
The DOT&PF is also continuing negotiations and acquisitions of Right-of-Ways with some property owners, while appraisal are being updated as needed, part of the DOT&PF’s commitment to a fair process for impacted property owners.
“DOT&PF understands the process can seem slow-thank you for your patience! We are working hard to deliver this project.”
Construction is projected to start in 2026.
More information about the project plans for the Bogard Rd and Engstrom Rd/Green, representatives will be on hand at the upcoming Mat-Su Transportation Fair on January 30 at Raven Hall.
