Doubting God’s word is Satan’s ploy

When I was just a young boy, my father got saved and we started attending a little church a few miles away. But after a while, they didn’t like the testimony my father gave about my mother’s receiving healing.

So we left that church, and after a fashion we found a church that believed in divine healing. After studying the Bible for a few years, my dad and mother started a little church out in the country that preached the Bible and believed in divine healing. I have always admired my dad for standing up for his beliefs in the Bible.

It is very important for Christians to stand up for the word of God.

We are in that time, the final days of the church age, as we read in the Bible, that it is important that Christians realize who they are in Christ and the truth in his word.

Let Revelations 12:11 encourage our hearts and at the same time show us how important the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony is. Verse 11 reads “and they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

Our testimony is what we speak forth about God’s word and what we believe, not what we do not believe in the Bible, in other words creating doubt. Doubt of God’s word is Satan’s ploy, and he will use it to rob us of faith. That is, faith in God and faith in God’s word, if we let him.

We are Christ’s ambassadors here on Earth. We, the Christians, need to be doing everything we can to get the truth of the word out there, by standing strong in our biblical beliefs, plus using our authority that we have in the name of Jesus when we pray.

2 Thessalonians 2:7 says, “for the mystery of the lawlessness is already at work; only he who restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.”

Most biblical scholars agree the “lawlessness” indicates the man of sin, which we see in verse 3, is the Antichrist, and he who restrains is the Holy Spirit, or the body of Christ. Whichever way you see it, we, the Christians, have an important part in holding back the lawlessness that we see today in many avenues of our lives.

Don’t be timid in your prayers to hold back that spirit of doubt that some people try to bring forth. No, we can’t pray against those people, those false teachers. But we can come against that spirit that is there trying to confuse and defer the gospel of Christ.

The world needs Jesus, and many do not even know of his saving grace, and how his blood redeemed all mankind’s sins. All they have to do is believe in Jesus Christ.

When people say the Bible is not true, that Jesus did not rise from the dead, or they claim the Bible is a myth, that is false teaching. Don’t go along with it. Speak up, let your testimony make a difference so that the light of the gospel can shine forth.

Our testimony as Christians should reflect our belief in God’s word. Understand that when people speak against the word of God, they are confirming what the Bible says. 1 Cor. 2:14, “But the natural man [the unbeliever] receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

Only through the Holy Spirit’s leading can we understand the word of God. And only when we are born again does the Holy Spirit come to abide in us, the Christian.

Romans 10:9-10: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Notice “confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,” the Son of God and believe in his resurrection, plain and simple. Where does it leave you without this heartfelt confession?

Remember, as a Christian, your answer has to line up with the Word of God.
