HATCHER PASS — An intoxicated man drove his car into a ditch, then offered cold beer to passersby, authorities said.
Troy T. Hepola, 25, of Palmer apparently drove his 2005 Beige Honda Accord into a ditch near Mile 14 of Hatcher Pass Road shortly after midnight Saturday morning, according to an Alaska State Troopers media release.
Responding troopers arrested Hepola at the scene, and transported him to the Mat-Su Pretrial detention facility. Hepola had bonded out Saturday afternoon, corrections documents show.
Helpola also faces a minor offense citation in connection with the incident, court records show.
