WASILLA — Brett Wood scored a pair of goals to lead the Eagle River Wolves to a 2-1 nonconference victory over Colony in Wasilla on Tuesday.
Wood scored in the first period and supplied the game-winner for ERHS in the third.
Morgan McJimsey scored the lone goal in the Knights loss. Jonathon Boyer picked up the assist.
Colony goalie Forrest Savel stopped 21 Eagle River shots.
Colony 11, North Pole 0
WASILLA — Colony dealt North Pole an 11-0 nonconference loss in Wasilla last week.
Colony jumped to a 6-0 first-period lead and added four goals in the third.
Alex Svoboda notched the hat trick and two assists for Colony. Trevor Naylor finished with seven points in the game, a pair of goals and five assists. Morgan McJimsey and Jonathon Boyer recorded two goals each.
Forrest Savel and Colton Beebee combined for the shutout in the Knights net. Beebee made 21 saves.
South Anchorage 6, Wasilla 1
EAGLE RIVER — South Anchorage scored a 6-1 win over the Wasilla Warriors at the MacDonald Center in Eagle River Thursday night.
South held a slim 2-1 lead heading into the third, but scored four times in the final period.
Brett Keene scored the lone Wasilla goal. Tegan Harrington picked up an assist.
East Anchorage 4, Wasilla 2
WASILLA — The East Anchorage Thunderbirds scored a 4-2 nonconference win over the Wasilla Warriors in Wasilla on Tuesday.
Cooper Hanson and Adam Apangolook scored for the Warriors. Brandon Trush grabbed an assist on the Hanson goal and Chancie Hanson assisted on Apangolook’s score.
South Anchorage 7, Palmer 0
PALMER — The South Anchorage Wolverines earned a 7-0 win over the Palmer Moose at the MTA Events Center on Tuesday.
South held a slim 1-0 lead after the first period, but added three goals in each of the final two periods.
Gage Mackie led the Wolverines with two goals and was one of six South players to find the back of the net.
Nathan Wright made 11 saves to earn the shutout.
