WASILLA — Ryder Schwamm scored with 46 seconds left in overtime to lift the West Anchorage Eagles to a 5-4 win over the Wasilla Warriors at the Brett Memorial Ice Arena in Wasilla Tuesday night.
Schwamm scored twice in the victory to help West improve to 5-4-0 this season. The defenseman added a power-play tally late in the first period. Blueliner Steven Gustafson added a goal and three assists in the West victory .
Wasilla sophomore Colton Fletcher gave his team the lead twice with a pair of first-period goals. Fletcher recorded a power-play goal less than five minutes into regulation to give his team the 1-0 lead. He scored for the second time at the 9:54 mark to give Wasilla the 2-1 advantage.
After West scored during the second period to take a 3-2 advantage, Wasilla used a pair of goals early in the third period to retake the lead.
Just inside the third, captain Brett Keene skated up the right wing and tucked a shot underneath the crossbar of the West net to tie the game at 3. Three minutes later, Olaf Jensen knocked a loose rebound into the net to give the Warriors the 4-3 advantage. West tied the score at 4 late in the third period with a Gustafson shot from the top of the right circle.
West outshot Wasilla 35-30 in the game.

WASILLA ¬— The West Anchorage Eagles blanked the Houston Hawks 6-0 in nonconference action Wednesday in Anchorage.
PALMER — Despite 43 saves from Palmer goalie Ashton Good, Service managed to grab a 6-0 win over the Moose at the MTA Events Center on Wednesday.
EAGLE RIVER — The Eagle River Wolves scored a 4-1 win over the Colony Knights Tuesday at the McDonald Center in Eagle River.
Logan Sanders scored the lone goal for the Knights.
EAGLE RIVER — Keanna Hawk scored a hat trick to lead the Mat-Su Ravens to a 5-3 win over Chugiak-Eagle River at the McDonald Center in Eagle River Tuesday.
Sarah Shaw, Amanda Engan and Taylor Buness also scored for the Valley all-girls prep hockey team. Emma Denny made 13 saves for the Ravens.
