Alaska State Troopers continue their investigation into an early-morning robbery at a Wasilla coffee stand resulting in the arrest of a convicted felon.
Troopers report receiving a call around 6:40 a.m. at the stand on Knik-Goose Bay Road. The barista provided a vehicle description and while responding to the scene pulled it over. Investigation revealed the passenger, 37-year old Vincent Calderon of Soldotna, was in possession of a firearm and alledgedly demanded money from the barista.
Police say Calderon, who also had outstanding warrants, damaged a window at the establishment. Calderon was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility.
