Your two fair traffic newspaper items in Sunday’s Frontiersman were enjoyable to read, and yes, regardless of where fairs are held, getting there is part of the experience — but not the same experience as tasty food, great booths and the entertainment once inside the fairgrounds.
Often the excitement and anticipation for getting to the fair is short-lived after encountering hundreds of cars and walking for blocks to and from the fair.
For those people who might prefer some other experience, I just wanted to spotlight that there are some public transit options for Valley and Anchorage residents via Mat-Su Community Transit (MASCOT) and Valley Movers.
Both transit organizations have published schedules on their websites. Your readers can visit matsutransit.com and valleymover.org to see what options might fit their desired fair visit time frames. MASCOT’s fair service is primarily within the Valley to and from Palmer and Wasilla, and Valley Movers between Anchorage and the fairgrounds.
