The recent editorial headlined “Kohring’s next on prosecutor’s laundry list” is, in my opinion, irresponsible, inaccurate and misleading journalism.
You are grouping him together with other separate trials and evidence of others, printing assumptions and urging “deals” when you have no more information than the rest of us what may or may not have gone on.
City council member Mark Ewing just got voted out.
Many neighbors and I voted Ewing out because of his recent nastiness, lack of integrity and such toward former Representative Kohring, who had been elected by majority vote over and over again. Kohring is and will be remembered in his district for the overwhelming good he has done for individuals.
Kohring has not tumbled from any mountain, as your editorial claims; innocent till proven guilty. Because others have been judged does not assume another’s guilt. Our state is in a lynch mode for politicians, which is evident by the juries and their members’ comments reported on the news.
Former Representative Kohring always used grace, truth and dignity toward the public and the media in his years as a representative. Certainly the Frontiersman is not returning in kind.
