Talkeetna resident Edward Joseph Palmer Jr., 63, died at his home on Jan. 20, 2005. A memorial service was scheduled to take place at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 26, at the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Wasilla. An open house was to follow at his home that day, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Mr. Palmer was born in New York on Oct. 22, 1941. In 1971, he moved to Anchorage, where he resided for 22 years. In 1993, he made Talkeetna his home. During his lifetime, he worked as a self-employed land surveyor and contracted with F.M. Lindsey & Associates, Ocean Technology, Arctic Slope Consulting Group and Bell & Associates.Mr. Palmer is survived by his wife, Melanie Palmer; children, Todd, Ami and David and grandchildren, Kamalei Lani, Mackenzie, Lucas and Michael.
Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
