Elsie Irene Pokorny, 92, died at her home in Wasilla of natural causes, on June 9, 2005.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 18, at the First Baptist Church, 900 Leatherleaf Loop in Wasilla.
Pastor Fred Stroud will officiate.
Mrs. Pokorny was born Jan. 5, 1913, in Texas County, Mo. She became a resident of Alaska in November 1991.
Mrs. Pokorny was a member of and attended the First Baptist Church in Wasilla.
She enjoyed crafting handmade quilts.
Mrs. Pokorny is survived by her daughter, Irene Fandrich of Wasilla; granddaughter, Vella Birkland of Wasilla, and grandson, Duane Fandrich of Palmer
Numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren also survive her.
Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
