End daylight saving time

To the editor:

Once again we have disrupted everyone’s sleep cycle and become frustrated by setting multiple clocks and electronic devices. This is done in the name of daylight saving time, which does not add any daylight.

Does anyone who has lived through summer in Alaska believe we are short of daylight?

Alaska should end this folly and opt out of daylight saving time as Arizona and Hawaii have done.

Changing time zones is a bad idea, but instead the sun should appear due south of us as close to noon as when time zones were originally created.
