To the editor:
Our current state administration shows off its self-serving and ineffectual again.
My aunt’s Senior Voice paper had a campaign ad in the form of an editorial from Governor Parnell asking for seniors’ votes on Nov. 2. I object to Sean Parnell taking credit for senior benefits he did not get for seniors.
Then the latest news from the Board of Game was a real decision maker for me. Hasn’t Governor Parnell made it clear to board members that they must work for sustained yield of wildlife? Why is there so much animosity and little coorperation for the good of all Alaskans and the preservation of our subsistence resources?
No wonder Governor Parnell hasn’t gotten much done. His administrators spend too much time bickering. I’m voting for Diane Benson. She worked the pipeline and she has a Native perspective which we really need now. I like her speeches reflecting the great tradition of Tlingit oratory.
Ethan Berkowitz is my choice for governor. He proved himself as a spokesman for the “little guy” in the state House. His ideas for Alaska jobs for Alaska residents and his renewable energy and broadband plans for all Alaskans will help keep Alaska strong. He shows enthusiasm and energy even when a battle is uphill.
We can’t afford four more Sean Parnell years of selfish and do-nothing-to-rock-the-boat governance.
