Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Wasilla resident Evelyn Ruth Sena, 67, died at her home July 8, 2005.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:30 p.m., Monday, July 18, at her home in Wasilla.

Born Evelyn Ruth Wilson on Dec. 23, 1937, in Trego, Mont., she married Benny Sena on April 9, 1957.
They lived in Libby, Mont., until 1971, then moved to Clarkston, Wash.
The couple moved to Alaska in 1972. The Senas have wintered in Tucson, Ariz., for the past 15 years.
Her family wrote, "Evelyn was the solid rock and foundation of her family. She will be remembered by all who knew her for the unconditional love she had for everyone."
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Madlin Wilson, and daughter, Tammy Kay Sena.
Mrs. Sena is survived by her husband of 48 years, Benny Sena of Wasilla; son and daughter-in-law, David and Laura Sena, and their children, Heather and Dustin; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Ron Hildebrand, and their children, Ronnie, Jessica, and Jeremy; son and daughter-in-law, Daren and Tracy Sena, and their children, Keaton and Karly; daughter and granddaughter, Dana and Kaylee Sena; sisters, Ida Fisher of Kalispell, Mont., and Madelle Bowen of Griffin, Ga., and great-grandchildren, Hailey Hildebrand, Christian Hildebrand, Gracie Marie Lemoine and Landon Sena.
Many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews also survive her.
Arrangements are with Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
