WASILLA — A 20-year-old Wasilla man was found hiding near a home after troopers say he assaulted a family member.
A caller to 911 from N. Bald Eagle Drive hung up at 1:40 a.m. Nov. 13. Troopers called to investigate say they found Cody French had “assaulted a family member at the residence following an extensive amount of taunting.”
French was found hiding outside and arrested for assault, harassment and underage drinking. Troopers say he had been drinking despite having been ordered not to as part of his probation for a theft charge, so he was also charged with violating probation.
He was jailed at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility. As of Saturday afternoon he was still in custody.
